Are you as excited about PACK EXPO 2018 as everyone here at Eaglestone? We can’t wait to get to Chicago this October 14-17 to see what’s new and exciting in our industry. Since the last show in Chicago back in 2016, we’ve paid attention when our customers spoke about their unique food packaging applications and challenges. The conveyors and accessories we’re bringing to PACK EXPO reflect those needs. What will we have there? Let’s take a quick look at the highlights.

ZTR Constant Turn Conveyor
To maximize floor space when moving packaged items, our new ZTR (Zero Tangent^™ Radius) conveyor eliminates the need for a straight belt before and after curves in the line. This is made possible by a new molded plastic belt construction from Intralox^® that uses wedge-shaped modules with a set turn angle. This innovative belt curve conveyor technology maintains a constant inner radius no matter the belt width. This ensures product orientation and integrity during tight transfers. Along with a reduced footprint, this system provides improved reliability and performance, reduces maintenance and eliminates belt mistracking.

Fabric Constant Turn Conveyor
Our Fabric Constant Turn Conveyor also integrates a constant turn design with a food-grade smooth fabric belt, allowing it to maintain product orientation. Originally introduced in 2016, this model has seen some new improvements, specifically for ease of maintenance, including more direct access the chain drive. The multi-segmented guarding also allows for easier maintenance, along with tool-less drop pan removal, sealed bearings and external grease fittings – all within a food grade design. Plus the cantilevered design makes belt changes a breeze. These features make it ideal for direct food contact operations.

Adjustable Operating Platform
For anyone who has stood on a perilous perch to reach up and over the edge of a conveyor, we are pleased to introduce our new Adjustable Operating Platform. Available in 1, 2 and 3-step models, this sturdy and stable stainless steel portable work space provides operators of any height safe and easy access to products on the belt. Each step can be manually adjusted in 1-inch increments for the ideal height. Changes in setup are fast and easy. Formed round tube handrails and slip-proof steps provide a safe and ergonomic standing area for maximum efficiency.
